Post-Study Accountability Rankings: Who Passed the Yale Secret Shopper Test
The July 2026 Yale secret shopper study found 45 of 49 telehealth GLP-1 platforms prescribed with minimal clinical oversight. We applied that same lens to the providers we track. Here's how it changes our rankings.
What the study actually measured
Researchers posing as patients evaluated how thoroughly each platform reviewed intake before prescribing — specifically whether a licensed clinician provided genuine, individualized review versus largely automated approval.
How we're incorporating this into our scoring
Clinical oversight was already part of our methodology, but this study gives us a sharper, externally validated benchmark to apply it against. Providers with documented, individualized clinical review score meaningfully higher in our updated rankings than those relying on automated approval alone.

What to ask any provider directly
Regardless of what any ranking says, you can verify this yourself: ask whether a licensed clinician will individually review your specific answers, or whether approval happens automatically off the questionnaire. A provider's answer to that single question tells you more than most marketing copy will.
